In 1903 Herbert Holman Cann, the Father of Herbert Claude Cann, (Golden Life 6), went to the Arltunga gold field along with another man prospecting for a syndicate with a view to finding prospects or existing leases for larger scale mining operations. This compiles the letters sent home to his wife.
There is nothing remarkable or extraordinary in these letters beyond a young man missing his family and writing of his adventures and travels to a small remote goldfield 130 K's east of Alice Springs.
